THE FIRE PLACE

The Fire Place Show takes its identity from the African setting where families  gathered around a fire in the evening to have critical conversations. This provided an opportunity to report and plan, rebuke or reward, give guidance or instructions or share a meal and just bond. Now, we facilitate critical conversations on matters ranging from leadership, to economy to technology, to health, peace and integration and so much more. The Fire Place Show integral broadcast platform is face book live but its content is shared on other social media platforms.  Our current organic reach is 60 000  and growing

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

We believe that for young people to have influence, they must tackle it through  numbers translating them into a voice in the political space and negotiate, lobby and vote for policy, programs and resources towards progressive development. On the other hand, access to political power requires both numbers and resources. In this case young people cannot access political control if they are jobless and surviving from hand to mouth. To achieve this end, the fire place has a community savings and credit project as well and planning of tours and excursions  proceeds of which go towards supporting our activities.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

We are cognizant of our community's needs and pressing challenges and committed to doing the best we can to make a difference. We mobilize young people to participate in campaigns, i.e environmental conservation, health, anti corruption among other themes and charity activities to reach out to support the vulnerable in our community.
