Donating to The Fire Place SHG is like planting a tree whose fruits and shade shall benefit many people. Our programs are not currently funded and any donation will make a whole lot of difference and help us effect the change we seek in our communities in Africa.
Every charity work requires alot of hands and resources. You can donate money using the options provided both international and local. You can also donate equipment that we need to do our work especially in video production, photography for details of our current need see below.

HOW CAN I JOIN​?

You can be part of The Fire Place Team irrespective of wherever you are in the world. You can join us by contacting us through our social media pages, email us, send us a message on whats app or call us and we shall be glad you speak with you. You can volunteer from 2 weeks to 1 year either as team or individuals, from Kenya or anywhere in the world.

1. Students-We are accepting student either currently in University or recently graduated and are on a transition break. We believe that students have a creative way of looking at issues and newly acquired skills and enthusiasm will be instrumental in serving our community better.
2. Professional mentors- We are in need of a professional team. We are accepting individuals who have been in fields related to social development, communication, journalism and its related technology etc. Being a community initiative, The Fire Place is anchored on citizen journalism and technology to drive conversations that translate into individual and collective action by community members for transformation.
3. Community Development Enthusiasts-The Fire Place is about community. Its about inspiring action for change. Anyone who is excited about working for the greater good of communities in Africa is welcome.

Costs
The Fire Place has no resources to support volunteers and until then, All volunteers will meet their travel expenses. All volunteers will be hosted by The fire place in real families and real homes unless its completely unavoidable or the wish of the volunteer to be in a hotel.

Accommodation: One Week 70
Meals: One Week 60
Local Transport: One Week 60
(including airport pick up and Drop off)

Booking fee Paid Once 30
NB: Volunteer period is from 1 week -1 Year.
This costs will be 20% less if period of stay in more than a month or the number of volunteers is a team of 3 and above at once. We have capacity to host 5 volunteers at once.

We will share our peoples way of life, we will share our beautiful places and we will share our passion. While you are with us, you will help us in whichever way to pursue our vision, to transform our communities. You will work with us and have fun in equal measure!
